Elizabeth McGee is a skilled community psychologist and applied research and evaluation professional with 17 years of experience evaluating over 45 nationally and municipally-run grants in diverse sectors, including environmental sustainability, education, health, mental health, workforce development, and social justice domestically, as well as experience working in international contexts, including Romania, Zambia, Turkey, Liberia, East Timor, Vietnam, Algeria, Kenya, and Zambia. She has worked on projects funded by the Center for Disease Control, Health Resource and Services Agency, National Science Foundation, United States Trade and Development Association, Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration, Gilead Science, ViiV Healthcare, and National Institute of Health. She has provided leadership in collaborative projects at research institutes and universities, including Global Impact Investing Network, FHI 360, HIV Trials Prevention Network, California Institute of Technology, Yale University, the University of Texas, Columbia University, Howard University, the University of Maryland, among many others.
Elizabeth has worked as an innovating leader within not-for-profits, as a consultant supporting not-for-profits to function optimally, and is a highly-regarded consultant in the field. Her employment history includes Evaluator at Yale University and serving in a management role at First5LA (California’s largest 0-5 funder) in the areas of evaluation, performance measurement and organizational learning. Elizabeth has extensive experience in community-based, participatory methodologies grounded in Diversity-Equity-Inclusion-Justice (DEIJ) and has supported domestic organizations in building evaluation, learning, and quality improvement infrastructure to maximize impact.
