Alexa Barton is a Research Analyst Intern who partners with government organizations and companies in South Florida to conduct qualitative and quantitative research projects, analyze data, and employ statistical results to create meaningful change. Alexa knows how important it is to maintain an open dialogue between community organizations, local businesses, and community members to foster community development. She believes that amplification of marginalized voices through research and analysis is essential to the advancement of community growth. Alexa has dedicated her research career to studying mental and physical health outcomes among marginalized communities.
Alexa has published her research in top tier academic journals and holds a graduate certificate in Quantitative Analysis. Alexa is trained in quantitative and qualitative methodologies as well as culturally responsive research methods.
Alexa is a doctoral candidate in Developmental Psychology at Florida International University and holds a master’s degree in Psychology from Florida International University.
