Dr. Horsey received her Ph.D. from the Department of Psychology at Howard University in the area of Developmental Psychology. She received her Master of Arts degree in Neuropsychology from Central Connecticut State University. Dr. Horsey has taught statistics and research methods for several years. As a Senior Researcher, Dr. Horsey has provided technical assistance to over 40 provider agencies focusing on mental health, school readiness, school success, and prevention of child maltreatment. In that role she has gained outstanding skills in needs assessments, quality assurance and improvement, formative and summative program evaluations, and quantitative and qualitative research methods. Dr. Horsey also has experience in conducting focus groups, instrument design, and analyzing data using SPSS. Dr. Horsey is of Haitian decent and speaks Creole and French.
